Vila da Costa needed a trustworthy digital presence and a strong brand to attract international travelers seeking an authentic experience, while encouraging them to book their accommodations directly via WhatsApp instead of through third-party platforms.

Problem

Vila da Costa lacked a professional website to inspire trust among potential international customers and relied on third parties for bookings.

Discovery & Analysis

Our team learned that Vila da Costa’s houses in Vila de Santo Antônio (Bahia, Brazil) offer more than vacation rentals — they provide an authentic Bahian experience in a fishing village along the stunning Coconut Coast. We conducted Lightning Demos and explored the region to gather insights and inspiration. As the single Brazilian in our international team I also collaborated with local references.

Design Approach

Our design addresses both the WhatsApp booking system and the authentic experiences awaiting Vila da Costa’s guests. A fixed WhatsApp CTA on the sticky navbar makes reservations easy. Beyond the houses and amenities, we highlight unique local experiences. Guest reviews and an “About us” section add trust and hospitality. A drone video in the hero section showcases the stunning landscape, while detailed location info and maps guide travelers with confidence.

Design Iteration

In two Sprints, we tested with the client and users, refined the logo, and focused on mobile responsiveness.

Prototype

After user testing, we pitched the final prototype to the client and received positive feedback from both.

Results

Client satisfaction is the result we’ve measured so far. Our solution will soon become the official business website. In the client’s words, our “talent, dedication, and creative vision made all the difference”, truly bringing “the spirit of Vila da Costa to the digital world” (Fabio de Paula Ramos, Vila da Costa).
